Hey everyone! Sorry this is slightly later than normal – its been a busy few days!

Isn’t is so true that sometimes the simplest of concept can make the largest difference?Well this week I am writing about something just like this.
A wonderful lady called Gracey appeared on my Twitter page this week with a genius idea called #padbank (retweeted by UN women). A simple yet genius way of allowing girls in Kenya to get a full education and maintain some dignity during their monthly. Many girls miss up to a week of school per month due to their cycle (how unfair???) and distributing sanitary products is the answer (how simple??!)
The concept is if you are able to you put a couple of packs of sanitary towels in your weekly shop, you do that and then we can send them over to Kenya and then these will be distributed among girls in schools. There is a secondary blog about this if you want to read more here
For Manchester people, I am going to be accepting donations of sanitary products to send over to Gracey for distribution so feel free to email me on jennie.frost@beautycocoon.org.uk to get my address!
If you are elsewhere in the country or world, it would be amazing to see you doing this with your youth group or just your friends and then sending them over – to us a couple of extra packs might be nothing but to someone else it is a boost to self esteem, a practical gift of love and a full education.
Let me know if you set something up!!!

Thanks for this Jennie.
You help is highly appreciated.
